Lost in the woods 
I voted. I won’t enter a photo contest unless it’s judged by professional judges. I find the vote contests are more popularity contests and often have little to do with the quality of the photos. Good luck!

I definitely understand your stance on the subject, and I generally agree, but this was my very first contest and I kind of just wanted to test the waters, see where people stood in relation to my photography 😀 Thank you so much for voting!

I’ve enter a lot of the contests that involve voting, and just got frustrated. I’m just not social or motivated enough to take the time to go after votes. When I enter judged shows I do well. It’s the same for a close friend of mine who is a fantastic photographer. She goes nowhere with the vote contests, but places and often wins in local, national and international photo contests that are judged by professionals

I can definitely see that. I may not go anywhere with this type of contest, but I think I need to build my work up and learn more about the workings of the photography world before I really put myself out there for judged contests. 😀 Thanks for opening up a dialogue with me, I really appreciate it 🙂
